Reverend Wisdom Mwale
Reverend Wisdom Mwale is the current Moderator of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia, having recently transitioned from his role as Moderator-Elect to officially lead the synod. He is a prominent Malawian religious leader and academic administrator who actively participates in church expansions and community events across the northern region of Malawi, such as recently officiating the opening of the Viyele CCAP Church in Mzuzu.
As Moderator, Reverend Mwale serves as the head of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Synod of Livingstonia. He was originally elected as Moderator-Elect during the church's 39th Biennial General Assembly in August 2024, and in his leadership capacity he leads key spiritual and developmental milestones, recently overseeing congregational growth in cities like Mzuzu.
Before stepping fully into his top leadership role within the synod, Reverend Mwale served as the College Registrar for the University of Livingstonia (UNILIA) at the Kaning'ina Campus.
He officially bid farewell to his administrative role at the university campus in September 2026 to focus completely on his ministerial oversight, where he was highly commended by the university's staff and students for his years of dedicated service.
