As a tradition, every year Bana Ba Kwa Mzikubola come together to support communities and schools within the Mzikubola jurisdiction with tree planting, through our "Making Our Mzikubola Green" campaign.

Over four years we are proud to have supported schools and communities with over 8 million trees planted, and we are unstoppable!

On tree planting day at Hoho Primary School we planted 2,000 trees. The Guest of Honour, on behalf of Inkosi Ya Makhosi M'mbelwa, was Gogo Jalavikuwa. Other dignitaries included our Inkosi Mzikubola himself and Hon. Chambulanyina, MP for Mzimba South.

The photographs bring together different planting occasions within the same campaign: the Hoho Primary School event, collaborative community planting shared by the Department of Forestry in 2023, and students planting at Kazomba Primary School in 2020. Each caption retains its own location and source.

At Thoza, Inkosi Ya Makosi Mmbelwa V joined Trust leaders and villagers for tree planting. After the exercise, dignitaries included Lusungu Gondwe, Legal Affairs Director for the Trust, Gibson Ngalamila, Executive Secretary for Press Trust and Guest of Honour, and Misheck Chisi, Chairperson of the Trust.
